Basingstoke Autocentre has been carrying out major engine repairs for over 20 years. Some of the larger engine repairs are becoming uneconomical due to the decreasing cost of new or replacement cars, however it is still cost effective on most cars depending on age to carry out cylinder head repair work, i.e. burnt out valves, broken timing belts causing bent valves, etc. These repairs will usually result in removal of the cylinder head which will require replacement head gasket & skimming/re-surfacing.

Hourly labour rate £58.75 inclusive.

Please note: We will not refit any cylinder head which has not been skimmed/re-surfaced.
